10 Black Friday Tech Gifts Worth Waiting For (2026)

From a $15.99 smart plug to a $118 Logitech mouse, with the price we saw on Amazon.com before the sales start

, wishlistme.app · Updated

TL;DR

Best overall: the Philips Hue starter kit ($72.99), a smart-lighting upgrade most people do not buy for themselves. Best cheap tech gift: the Kasa smart plug with energy monitoring ($15.99). Best for gamers: the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controller ($59.99). Best for a movie night: the Roku Streaming Stick Plus ($54.99). Best splurge: the Logitech MX Master 4 mouse ($118.00), with the Sony WH-CH720N noise-canceling headphones ($89.99) as the audio alternative. Black Friday is on November 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday is on November 30. These are the prices we saw before the sales; we cannot promise a discount on any of them.

Black Friday is when most people buy tech gifts, and most of the deals are on products you did not plan to buy. A better plan is to pick the gift first, note today's price and then decide whether a sale is a real discount. This page does that for ten tech gifts: a mouse, a game controller, a streaming stick, headphones, a smart-home starter kit, a video doorbell, a reusable notebook, a smart plug, a wireless charging station and a floating globe. We looked at what is popular and well rated, then checked each product on Amazon.com and kept only items that were in stock with a visible price, a rating of at least 4.3 stars and several hundred reviews at least. We dropped Amazon's own devices such as Echo, Kindle and Fire TV, which we could not verify in the same way, and a few older models that are no longer current. Black Friday is on November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is on November 30. The prices below are what Amazon.com showed before the sales; they can go up or down, and a Black Friday price is only a good deal if it is lower than these.

How to choose

Choose by what the person already owns and does. If they work at a computer, pick the MX Master 4 mouse or the Rocketbook notebook. If they play games on a PC or phone, pick the 8BitDo controller. If they watch a lot of TV, pick the Roku stick. If they commute or fly, pick the Sony headphones. If they are starting a smart home, pick the Hue kit, the Kasa plug or the Tapo doorbell. If they have everything, pick the levitating globe. Check compatibility before you buy: the 8BitDo listing is for PC, Apple, Steam and Android; the Acer charger is for Apple devices; and the Tapo doorbell does not include a chime, per its listing. For the best price, note today's price, watch it during the sale and buy only if it is lower. Prices were checked on the date shown on this page and can change.

Under $30: small tech

Two low-priced gadgets that are easy to give and easy to use.

Kasa Smart Plug Mini with energy monitoring (KP115)

Kasa Smart Plug Mini with energy monitoring (KP115)

A Wi-Fi outlet that works with Alexa and Google Home

Amazon.com

$16

A small plug that sits between an outlet and a lamp, a heater or a string of lights. The Kasa app switches it on or off, and the plug tracks how much power the device uses. It is the easiest way to try a smart home: nothing to install except plugging it in. For a gift it is a low-risk add-on to a bigger present. At $16 there is little room for a big discount, so there is little reason to wait.

Rocketbook Core reusable smart notebook

Rocketbook Core reusable smart notebook

A letter-size notebook you scan to the cloud and wipe clean

Amazon.com

$27

A spiral notebook with reusable paper. You write, scan the page with the Rocketbook app, send it to a cloud service and wipe the page so you can use it again. It is a useful gift for a person who loves to write by hand but wants searchable digital copies. It is also an unusual gift that most people would not buy for themselves. Check the listing for which pen it needs before you gift it, and note that wiping works only with the right pen.

$30 to $60: gifts to wait for a deal on

Mid-priced tech that often goes on sale. Note the price here and compare.

Magnetic levitating globe with LED light

Magnetic levitating globe with LED light

A world globe that floats and spins in mid-air

Amazon.com

$35

A globe held in the air by magnets, with LED lights in the frame in purple, pink and cyan. Give it a push and it spins for a quarter of an hour or more, according to the listing. It is the odd one out on this page: no apps, no accounts, just a desk object that makes people stop and look. That is exactly why it works for a person who already owns every gadget. Treat it as decoration. It is not a tool.

Tapo 2K wireless smart video doorbell (D205)

Tapo 2K wireless smart video doorbell (D205)

A battery doorbell with 160-degree view and no monthly fee for AI alerts

Amazon.com

$40

A battery video doorbell from TP-Link's Tapo line. It records in 2K, has a 160-degree field of view and uses AI to send alerts when it sees a person, with no monthly fee listed. The battery means no wiring, though the 180 days figure is a maximum from the listing. It suits someone who wants to see who is at the door without a subscription. Buy a chime if you want a bell sound inside the house, and check whether you can mount it on your door.

$40 Amazon.com
Acer 3-in-1 foldable magnetic charging station

Acer 3-in-1 foldable magnetic charging station

One charger for an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods

Amazon.com

$42

A foldable charging dock with three magnetic spots for an iPhone, an Apple Watch and AirPods. The listing names compatibility with iPhone 12 to 17 series and Apple Watch Series 1 to 11. It replaces three cables with one flat stand, which is nice on a nightstand or in a travel bag. It is a gift for someone who owns all three Apple devices. If they use Android, skip it.

$42 Amazon.com
Roku Streaming Stick Plus

Roku Streaming Stick Plus

A 4K HDR10+ streaming stick with a voice remote

Amazon.com

$55

A small streaming stick that plugs into a TV's HDMI port and runs Roku's apps for Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ and others. It includes a voice remote and, per the listing, gets power from the TV. It is an easy upgrade for an older TV or a second room. It is a product that can go on sale, so compare the price during the sales. Check that the TV has an HDMI port, and a 4K TV if you want the 4K picture.

$55 Amazon.com
8BitDo Ultimate 2 wireless controller (PC, Apple, Steam, Android)

8BitDo Ultimate 2 wireless controller (PC, Apple, Steam, Android)

A controller with TMR joysticks and a 2.4G wireless connection

Amazon.com

$60

A wireless controller from 8BitDo with TMR joysticks, a switch between linear Hall Effect triggers and tactile triggers, and a 2.4G wireless connection that the listing says has latency under 1 ms. It is a good gift for a PC gamer because a better controller improves every game, and it works with Steam and Android too. It is a step up from the controller that comes with most systems. Check which platform the person plays on, because 8BitDo sells different versions for different devices.

$60 Amazon.com

$60 to $120: the bigger gifts

Three gifts for a person you want to impress, where a Black Friday discount matters most.

Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance starter kit

Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance starter kit

One Hue Bridge and two A19 smart bulbs

Amazon.com

$73

A starter set with one Hue Bridge, the hub that connects the bulbs to your home network, and two bulbs that can show white light or millions of colors. The listing says it can join Matter and run automations. Hue is the premium choice in smart bulbs, and the kit lets you add bulbs later. Compare the price during the sales. It costs more than other smart bulbs, and the bridge needs a spare router port, so check the setup before you gift it.

$73 Amazon.com
Sony WH-CH720N wireless noise-canceling headphones

Sony WH-CH720N wireless noise-canceling headphones

Lightweight over-ear headphones with up to 35 hours of battery

Amazon.com

$90

An over-ear Bluetooth headphone from Sony with active noise canceling, two microphones and a long battery life. It is the lightweight, lower-priced model in Sony's line-up. It makes a good gift for a commuter or a student. Note $89.99 as the price to beat during the sales. Note the review count: it is lower than a few of the other items on this page, so read recent reviews before buying.

$90 Amazon.com
Logitech MX Master 4 ergonomic wireless mouse

Logitech MX Master 4 ergonomic wireless mouse

A mouse with a haptic panel, Actions Ring and a MagSpeed scroll wheel

Amazon.com

$118

The latest model in Logitech's MX Master line: an ergonomic wireless mouse with a haptic panel that gives feedback for actions, an Actions Ring overlay for shortcuts and a very fast scroll wheel. It is the best gift here for anyone who spends most of the day with a mouse in hand, especially at a computer. Note $118.00 as the price to beat during the sales. The previous MX Master 3S scored 4.6 stars at a similar price on Amazon, so compare the two before you pay full price for the new one.
